‘Shiptober 2018: Lucifer (Lucifer & Chloe) vs. Hawaii Five-0 (Steve & Danny)
It’s a chance to celebrate some of the greatest ‘ships that the TV has to offer, and we’ve got a fun tournament this year to go along with it. Over the course of this month, we’ll be running some ‘Shiptober polls while also discussing what makes some of these couples so great and also sharing some teases / expectations for upcoming episodes! This is a chance to celebrate and discuss great ‘ships while gauging their popularity among readers at the same time. Only one ‘ship will be crowned the victor at the very end!
Voting Rules – Vote however often you like! Only one ‘ship from round 3 will move onward, and we are keeping these polls open until Friday, October 26 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time. The following day, the fourth round will officially begin. (All of the information needed can be found in the bracket image above.)
In this ‘Shiptober battle, we’re passing the halfway mark of round 3 and bringing you what should be an exciting showdown between Lucifer & Chloe of Lucifer and then Steve & Danny of Hawaii Five-0.
Lucifer & Chloe, Lucifer (#1 seed) – Deckerstar are still riding high at CarterMatt, winning the Dynamic Duos tournament this summer and then also dispatching of the first two ‘Shiptober opponents by fairly solid margins. Even though they may not be a full-fledged couple at the moment, the support from them is still strong and the possibilities endless entering season 4. Much of the excitement for the upcoming episodes on Netflix has to do with the idea of payoff. It’s been such a long journey for them with a lot of different twists along the way, but many more cards are now out there on the table. Chloe now knows the truth about Lucifer and the question now really is whether or not they can work through that and actually find a way to be together.
Steve & Danny, Hawaii Five-0 (#3 seed) – To date, McDanno has performed incredibly well in the tournament, and was able to also take out a particularly strong opponent in Olicity in round 2. It’s fair to call this the hardest challenge the ‘ship has faced to date, but they’ve proven with the votes that they are worthy competitors and that the love for McDanno is strong! This has come in the midst of one of the most exciting McDanno times on Hawaii Five-0 itself, as the two are poised to be sharing many big moments together with the restaurant opening in the 200th episode. That’s an opportunity in many ways to reflect on the journey that got them there and everything that they’ve done for each other along the way. It’s a testament to their relationship and how strong they are together.
