Legends of Tomorrow premiere ratings fall; Magnum PI, Manifest hold up
The latest Monday ratings are in, and they show first and foremost that Legends of Tomorrow has a lot of work to do this year.
The season 4 premiere episode, despite a loyal group of fans and strong critical reviews, drew just a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This was in some ways expected given that it’s been off the air for a rather-long time now and to go along with that, has a different lead-in this year in Arrow.
This is going to be a season where fans of Legends have to fight hard in order to ensure that it gets a season 5, since it’s not going to be easy. with The CW bringing in Batwoman, and with there being so many other superhero shows on the air, this is one that could easily get cut. It was already removed from the crossover, after all.
As for some other ratings news on the night…
How is Magnum PI faring? – At the moment, the CBS series, fresh off of getting a full-season order, is still finding a way to navigate amidst some rather-tough waters. This past episode generated a 0.8 rating; while that is far from great, it is at least reasonably steady with the link before.
Is Manifest keeping most of its audience? – It has done a reasonably good job of that, though the 1.4 rating it just drew for this past episode is the lowest figure that we’ve seen for the series to date. It already does have a full season, though, and it feels almost like a given that there is going to be something more on the other side of it.
Good news for Bull – After sliding a lot in the numbers the past few weeks, last night benefited from The Good Doctor being in repeats as the show drifted up to a 0.8 rating.
