Dancing with the Stars 27 forgoes elimination on Disney night
Yet, we’ve also felt that way for the past couple of weeks. Ultimately, this is a show about growth and a show about popularity more than it is one about technical ballroom dancing. The best dancers don’t always win and, in the end, that’s okay. At times, the drama about who ends up surviving eliminations is one of the most exciting things about this show as a whole.
With that being said, was there another notable elimination on the show tonight … or was it time for Grocery Store Joe to pack his bags? As it turns out, everyone was saved! Tonight was Disney night, and apparently Disney magic helped to move everyone forward for one more week. We do think that there’s going to be a double-elimination coming up in the future as a result of that … but tonight, everyone can breathe a little bit easier.
Of course, for those of you who love conspiracies, just remember that Dancing with the Stars and ABC are both owned by Disney in some capacity, so they obviously have a good bit of say into what happens on Disney night. Maybe controlling a part of eliminations goes into that.
Yet, with that said, we do also think that it benefits the show heavily when they can keep as many people around for as long as humanly possible. After all, they want to ensure that there are a number of notable stars and a better chance for surprising moments.
For the record, though, we’re just pushing our prediction that Grocery Store Joe goes home back for a week. It does still feel like it’s going to happen in due time.
