Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 6 premiere date will be in January

While we may not know the official premiere date as of yet for Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 6, we at least know the premiere month!

In a new live-streaming session with fans on Monday (via Instagram), star Terry Crews made it clear that the show is making its NBC debut at some point in January. He didn’t unleash a whole lot of information beyond just that, but we didn’t need a whole lot more in order to start getting psyched for what’s coming be coming up next. Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of the best comedy shows out there and it certainly feels like there’s still so much material to be mined here.

Are we still mad that Chelsea Peretti is leaving the show? Sure, but it seems to be her choice and we’re happy that she’s going to have a chance to do some other fun stuff.

Beyond any one particular story, we expect that season 6 is going to feature a number of hilarious cop hijinks, familiar faces beyond even the main cast, and seeing more of what Jake and Amy look like as a married couple. While they are still the same people, maybe their life starts to feel a little bit different from what it did. This is going to be a really fun season that could actually feel looser and more creative than ever before. There’s nothing that reinvigorates a writers room, after all, like realizing your mortality as a whole. We don’t know how much longer this show is going to be on the air, so at this point, we really just have to make the most of the series however long it can. We at least know that the episode order is going to be longer on the series now than it was originally meant to be.
