Is the Good Doctor new tonight? The latest season 2 tidbits

Good Doctor season 2 episode 4

Is The Good Doctor new tonight on ABC? At the moment, we certainly know that the series is in a fantastic, super-dramatic place. Of course, we say that as a viewer; it’s probably a little bit different if you are a doctor at the St. Bonaventure Hospital and are going through some of the stuff that they are at the moment.

Alas, there is no new episode of The Good Doctor that is coming on the air tonight, and the reasoning for it is rather clear — though not everyone out there may love it: ABC is giving The Rookie a little bit more time to build an audience. With that, a repeat of the premiere is getting the Dancing with the Stars lead-in tonight. A new episode of The Good Doctor, entitled “Carrots,” will air on the network next week. There are still fourteen more episodes coming this season, so rest assured that this is not limiting anything that you’re going to be seeing coming up. It just means that we have to be a little bit patient.

As for what we are going to see when the series returns, part of that begins with understanding more of what’s actually going on with Dr. Glassman and his condition. After going through a series of hallucinations involving his daughter on this past episode, moving forward he may be refusing to cooperate with some of his treatment plan.

Meanwhile, with Shaun we have a feeling that he is going to try and figure out where things stand at the moment with Lea in the wake of him, effectively, getting a new place for himself and Lea. Right when it seemed as though the two were getting on the same page again, he made an enormous move without telling her about it beforehand. This is going to be something that he has to learn: Rather than just assume what she wants / doesn’t want, he really needs to ask and communicate with her.
