Manifest episode 5 video: What does Cal actually know?
On Monday night’s “Connecting Flights,” the spotlight seems to be shifting over to Ben’s son Cal, which is exciting in that it offers up more of an opportunity to see the world through his lens. Lucky, it does feel like there’s quite a bit of interesting stuff to see here since his abilities manifest (put intended) themselves in some rather-interesting ways. Take, for example, when it comes to him being able to have some an ability to look somewhat towards the future — at least when it comes to information related to Flight 828. Through this episode, he will guide Ben towards something that may show just how many recent events are actually connected — it’s a pivotal, game-changing revelation that could produce some sort of larger ripple effect when it comes to the future.
Of course, as for whether or not this ripple effect benefits these characters, that remains to be seen, but it does seem as though we’re going to have one of the larger reveals that we’ve had in a while. That’s absolutely welcome, especially since it feels as of late almost like the show has dragged its heels to a certain degree. This past episode may have been good in establishing emotional relationships + where some of these characters fit into them, there are a number of other questions that still need to be answered and reasonably soon.
Of course, in the midst of the Ben – Cal story we do expect some more issues with Michaela out in the field. It’s hard to be able to adequately do your job when also wrestling with your own abilities and the consequences that go along with those.
