‘Shiptober 2018: Outlander (Roger & Bree) vs. Wynonna Earp (Waverly & Nicole)
It’s a chance to celebrate some of the greatest ‘ships that the TV has to offer, and we’ve got a fun tournament this year to go along with it. Over the course of this month, we’ll be running some ‘Shiptober polls while also discussing what makes some of these couples so great and also sharing some teases / expectations for upcoming episodes! This is a chance to celebrate and discuss great ‘ships while gauging their popularity among readers at the same time. Only one ‘ship will be crowned the victor at the very end!
Voting Rules – Vote however often you like! Only one ‘ship from round 2 will move onward, and we are keeping these polls open until Sunday, October 21 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time. The following day, the third round will officially begin. (All of the information needed can be found in the bracket image above.)
In this ‘Shiptober battle, we are closing out the second round! In doing so, we’ve got a showdown between Roger & Bree of Outlander and then also Waverly & Nicole of Wynonna Earp. There isn’t a lot of time to vote, so diving in quickly is imperative here!
Roger & Bree, Outlander (#6 seed) – Given that these two characters are gearing up for their biggest season yet of the Starz drama, it only makes sense that they continue to advance in the tournament. They are coming off of an upset victory in the first round, but here, they will absolutely face off against a formidable opponent and one of television’s most-popular ‘ships as a whole. Their appearance here is coming just a mere matter of weeks away from the season 4 premiere; while the buildup has been somewhat of a slow burn so far, be prepared to see that change in the midst of what is an epic, but also difficult journey for them moving forward. It will progress over time, and there will be many roadblocks placed before them.
Waverly & Nicole, Wynonna Earp (#2 seed) – Meanwhile, Wayhaught is in a slightly different spot right now. These two have had a rather-significant journey told the past couple of years already, building up to what was certainly an epic season 3 finale earlier this fall. Now, the fandom at large has to wait until 2019 to see what comes next. It’s fair to expect that there are going to be more challenges thrown at them, but here’s to hoping that they find a way to push through. Waverly and Nicole have shown themselves to be determined, both in terms of taking down threats and also in terms of the love they have for each other. In the midst of all of the drama, they find a way to still have a little bit of fun.
