The Walking Dead season 9 episode 3 video: Who’s confronting Maggie?

Coming up on more The Walking Dead season 9 episode 3, it looks as though there is even more drama surrounding Maggie … which makes sense, mostly because there’s been a lot of this from the jump this month. Remember how the premiere wrapped up with Gregory? Well, there’s more trouble coming on Sunday night’s episode, but this time around, it seems to have more to do with the Saviors.

As you can see in the video below, some members of the group formerly led by Negan are none too pleased with some missing members of their ranks, and they are taking to confronting Maggie about it. They want some sort of answers from her, and it doesn’t seem to matter whether or not she has any.

Unfortunately for Maggie, it just seems like roadblock after roadblock is going to come up for her. This is in part what happens when you are a leader in this world, especially when you are dealing with people whose former leader was as despicable as Negan was. There could be prejudice here because of her being a woman, or even for her being a widow. It’s interesting that she’s referred to in such terms, almost as though this defines her more so than any other status.

As for who may be actually taking some of these people, our money (at least at the moment) is on the people within the Whisperers. We know that they are at the center of much of the drama this season, so this feels like a fairly-natural way for them to insert themselves in the storytelling. Their presence is something rolling around in our head, though the same thing goes for how the writers wrap up Maggie’s story so that she can be absent for a while (remember, Lauren Cohan isn’t in every episode) and of course whatever happens to Rick Grimes. While it seems as though producers are not killing Maggie, it seems much more likely that Rick’s fate is a grim one.
