The Conners spoilers: Matthew Broderick poised to recur

The Conners
The Conners
has officially added another notable name to its cast; this time around, it’s none other than the great Matthew Broderick!

According to a report from Deadline, the iconic actor will be first appearing on the upcoming Halloween episode, which carries with it the fun-and-fitting title of “There Won’t Be Blood.” As for his particular role, he’s going to be a love interest for Laurie Metcalfe’s role of Jackie. The plan is for him to recur, so we may get to see him at least a couple of times during the show’s run.

This appearance is one of many notable ones for big-name actors on The Conners coming up. Tuesday’s episode will see a return for Johnny Galecki, and to go along with that Juliette Lewis is going to be appearing in the role of Blue.

Just in case this news was not enough for you in the Matthew Broderick department, know that the actor is also going to be appearing in the upcoming high-school apocalypse series (you read that right) Daybreak, which is going to stream on Netflix. He will be a series-regular there (per the aforementioned publication) as Principal Burr, the “cheerful, upbeat principal of Glendale High. Principal Burr knows the name of every kid in school and their favorite character to play in Overwatch. In a hashtag-filled world of #metoo and #blacklivesmatter and #timesup, Burr is genuinely trying to be part of the solution: a good guy, an advocate and ally for all. But let’s face it, kids can be monsters.”

Basically, if you love Matthew Broderick, there is a lot to be excited about over the next few months.
