Candace Cameron Bure still confident Fuller House season 5 will happen

Fuller House

Earlier this week, new reports surfaced stating that Fuller House could be canceled at the end of the upcoming fourth season premiering later this year. While nothing remains official here one way or another, series star Candace Cameron Bure is making one thing very clear from her perspective: She is still confident in the series’ future.

Speaking in a new interview with E! News, the actress expressed confidence that the show will be coming back — though they never know for sure about the show’s future until Netflix makes an official announcement:

“I don’t know why or how that rumor got started … I think it was a slow news day and someone wanted to make more of it than it is … I have no doubt that we’re going to be back for season five.”

For now, we do feel like someone at Netflix has probably talked about an endgame for Fuller House, but by no means does that mean that they are looking towards a definite end right now. It makes sense for companies to discuss the future of their shows. We think it’s too early one way or another to call on an end to the Full House follow-up, mostly because it could be a month or so after the new season airs when Netflix starts to take a serious look at this.

Consider us cautiously optimistic on the future of Fuller House, mostly because this show has been one of the most-popular comedies that the streaming service has ever had. If they do decide to end it, it makes more sense to do so with a proper ending … though it does feel like Netflix has become more willing to end some of their shows lately. Remember that Orange is the New Black was announced to be concluding soon earlier this week, but in the case of that show it appears that the end has been planned for a good while now.

Do you think that there is a good chance that Fuller House could be coming back for a fifth season, or is it still too early to tell? Share right away in the comments. (Photo: Netflix.)
