Last Man Standing season 7 episode 5 return date: A foreign exchange student
We should start things off in this piece by noting that there is no new episode next week, if you have not heard already. That is a function mostly of World Series baseball, which tends to take Fox programming of the air around this time ever year. Given that not every viewer out there is likely aware of this since this is Last Man Standing’s first year on Fox, it’s worth pointing out. That’s also why the Halloween episode aired on the network tonight rather than next week.

Expect to see the Baxter family on the air again come Friday, November 2 with an episode entitled “One Flew Over the Empty Nest” that was actually filmed before the Halloween episode — airing episodes out of order is fairly common in the television world. This one is important for Mike and Vanessa Baxter as they try to transition to life without the kids around as much. Will a foreign-exchange student helped to fill that void? We’re going to get a chance to find out soon!

This episode should prove to be a good bit of fun not just for Mike and Vanessa, but also Kristen and Ryan given that they have to prepare for a new phase of parenthood. Boyd inviting a girl over is a major step in his life — let’s just hope they are prepared for it. (They probably aren’t.)
