Supernatural season 14 episode 3 preview: Sam enlists Jody Mills in his quest

For those of you who loved the idea of Wayward Sisters, at least Supernatural season 14 episode 3 will bring one familiar face back. Jody Mills is making her way back to the flagship show! The moment that The CW regrettably did not move forward with the spin-off, we’re glad that the producers of the show made this reprisal a priority, especially early on. It’s a reminder that these characters are still a part of the universe, and we like to think that some of them could appear again down the road. Heck, we’d love it if this potential series got another shot, though it does not seem as though there are any specific plans at the moment in order to have that happen.

So what’s going to bring Jody back into the fold story-wise? Well, it has a thing or two to do with the big priority at the moment for Sam — trying to get his brother back. The Michael drama is causing him a great deal of suffering (understandably so), since he doesn’t really know what happened or if the “Dean” that is in front of him is real. Beyond just that, though, there is some other fun that will happen in some various corners of this episode.

Going into Supernatural season 14 episode 3, our thoughts are basically this: If you love returning characters but also fun, twisty plots, there should be some good stuff here. The synopsis below doesn’t offer up too much information, but it’s enough to still get excited:

KIM RHODES RETURNS AS SHERIFF JODY MILLS – Still trying to solve the mystery of what happened to Dean (Jensen Ackles), Sam (Jared Padalecki) enlists the help of Sheriff Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes) who may unknowingly already be on the case. Castiel (Misha Collins) continues to be a father figure to Jack (Alexander Calvert), who surprises even himself, when a life is on the line.
