NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 5 preview: The 100th episode!

Next week, NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 5 is going to be one of the biggest milestones for the CBS series to date. After all, this is the 100th episode! This installment marks a great celebration of everything that we’ve seen on the series so far. To go along with that, it also should give us a chance to see an important story for Dwayne Pride where a surprise family member surfaces. This is a story that could have long-term implications beyond just anything that we see on the network that particular night.

To go along with this, we’ve also got a performance coming from Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats — after all, big episodes of this series often do end up having a notable musical guest.

Below, the NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 5 synopsis offers up some additional information when it comes to what lies ahead:

“In the Blood” – Pride’s father, Cassius Pride (Stacy Keach), is wrapped up in an NCIS case involving a notorious unsolved casino heist from several years ago. Also, Pride meets a family member he never knew existed, on the milestone 100^th episode of NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, Oct. 23 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Episode features the band Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats performing “Hey Mama” and “You Worry Me.”

It’s hard to say too much more in regards to what’s happening with Pride, since we’d basically just be throwing darts at random story points that the writers could decide to go with. The big thing that we’re looking forward to is simply entertainment — we want there to be a great episode here, one that contains some shocking twists and leaves us guessing by the very end of it.
