Doctor Who season 11 episode 3 preview: The Doctor meets Rosa Parks
Overall, though, we’re glad that this show is tackling the Rosa Parks story since it will allow many young viewers a chance to learn all about her in an interesting context — it’s certainly different from reading about her in the history books.

Below, the Doctor Who season 11 episode 3 synopsis offers up some more information as to what to expect:
Montgomery, Alabama. 1955. The Doctor and her friends find themselves in the Deep South of America. As they encounter a seamstress by the name of Rosa Parks, they begin to wonder whether someone is attempting to change history.
That synopsis does give you a reasonably good sense of what’s coming, and how we could be gearing up for an episode destined for the Doctor Who history books if pulled off correctly. This is a difficult story to execute, given the fact that you A) have to tell something that feels like a Doctor Who story and B) have to make it reasonably accurate to what happened in history. You have to get the tone just right and we don’t think that this is going to be easy.
Yet, if this episode totally works, it could show the true strength and ability of Chris Chibnall as showrunner. We certainly know that the rest of the cast and crew will be more than capable of pulled this off.
