Saturday Night Live: Jonah Hill to host November 3; Maggie Rogers performing
So, who is set to take on the job? Jonah Hill is back — again! The actor will take on the gig for the upcoming November 3 edition of the series, the last one before the Midterm Elections. He’s a guy who has done a number of funny things on SNL in the past, though some of his shows have also been better than others. He’s just a solid utility player for the writers who knows the cast and often has some sort of movie to promote.

Meanwhile, the musical guest for this episode is going to be Maggie Rogers, who should bring a nice singer-songwriter vibe to the series. She doesn’t have the lengthy show experience that Hill does, but we actually rather like pairing super-experienced hosts with newer musical guests and vice-versa. It allows a new mixture of things and for there to be some sort of sense of variety.
The bad news here is rather simple: Having to wait the next couple of weeks for new episodes to come back on the air. Tonight’s episode is especially strong, and we may be missing SNL in a way that we did not previously after the first two.
