Finn Jones talks Iron Fist cancellation; could Heroes for Hire series happen?
So how is star Finn Jones handling the news? Well, based on what we’re seeing right now, he is taking it with as much grace as humanly possible. In a new post on his Instagram, the actor had the following to say on the subject:
“With every end is a new beginning … I have an enormous amount of love and respect for everyone involved with the last two seasons of this show. Defending the greatest city in the world amongst the most talented and warmest people has been a privilege and a joy. Blessed to have taken this journey and grateful for the ongoing support.”

While it doesn’t seem that Iron Fist season 3 is coming anytime soon, there is another intriguing possibility right now — a Heroes for Hire series that could feature Luke Cage and Iron Fist together. Remember that Luke Cage has not been officially renewed for a third season yet, either, and this could be a way to bring these two heroes together in a way that may create some more buzz and generate viewership. We said this last night, but we do think that one of the biggest reasons why the series did not work out is simply due to the sheer number of similar superhero shows that are out there already. There’s probably too much of one thing all at the same time, and this sheer amount of competition can get a little bit overwhelming.
Ultimately, we’ll have to wait and see just what the future holds, but there’s always a chance to revisit this world in some shape or form down the line.
