Lethal Weapon season 3 episode order extended, with Damon Wayans on board
According to a new report from Deadline, the official episode order for the season has been bumped up to fifteen. That means that there are two additional episodes that can be used to either wrap up the series or at least write out Damon Wayans’ character of Murtaugh. Wayans has agreed to stay on board for these two episodes, despite originally saying that he wants to move on from the show. The producers are apparently trying to acquiesce some of his issues, including the long hours and making sure there are special diabetic-friendly meals available.

With that, the site’s source now says that Wayans has not decided completely against returning to the series in the event that it is renewed, but we do still wonder whether or not that is worth the trouble. The ratings are down on average right now versus season 2, and given that there would be a pretty huge hiatus between season 3 and a possible season 4, you have to think that this would happen again. To go along with that, another thing to remember here is that Fox does not entirely own this show; with that, they don’t even stand to profit from it as much as some other shows on the network.
Basically, we feel for some of the people involved with this show who haven’t been a part in all of the drama; after all, it seems like there’s going to be even more limbo for this series for a good while still.
