The Walking Dead season 9 episode 2 sneak peek: Michonne, Jesus ask for a favor
In the sneak peek below, you can see Michonne and Jesus approach Maggie in the hopes of trying to figure out how to get some of the community’s supplies to the Sanctuary. Basically, Sanctuary is lacking and they want to be able to get by.

Yet, Maggie is being extremely cagey when it comes to her willingness to part with anything at the moment, and after hearing her speak about it, it’s fairly easy to understand why. She recognizes at the moment that Hilltop is in a tricky spot with Earl behind bars. His skills are very much important when it comes to the crops, but releasing him basically is akin to a slap on the wrist for some of his actions. It’s an interesting debate in a post-apocalyptic word — do an individual’s skills help to offset in some way the terrible things that they have done? Is it really possible to look past any of that? Maggie is still getting used to her role as leader and with that, she may need to take her time to figure out what she wants to do here.
Also, she may recognize that in the aftermath of Gregory’s death, more eyes are on her than ever before.
For all of these reasons, Maggie isn’t too keep to let go of any supplies. If Earl stays locked up, she realizes that she may need the surplus. It’s hard for her to let go of anything when approaching what is, at least at the moment, a great unknown.
