Grey’s Anatomy season 15: Where is Jackson? A Jesse Williams refresher
At the moment, what we know is that the character of Jackson Avery is still gone from the show, presumably on some sort of spiritual journey. With that, there is also no confirmed return date for his future at the moment. We would like to imagine that there is going to be a chance to see him again shortly, but nothing is 100% confirmed at the moment.
One of the good things about Grey’s Anatomy that we have seen over time, though, is that even when a character leaves for a certain period of time, often they do find a way to come back with some rather-big episodes.

What we expect is that whenever we get a chance to see Williams back on the show, Jackson will have changed to a certain extent. Maybe he will get a little more perspective on what’s happened to him in the past and beyond that, maybe he understands where he wants to go moving forward. Jackson is a more spiritual guy at this point, and there is something interesting about his journey. Just remember here that we’re talking about someone who has had a lot of things go for him over the course of his life, whether it be wealth or some great relationships. Yet, there’s something for him in terms of happiness that remains out of reach. That is what we expect him to be reaching towards whenever he comes back. We’re patient, but we do want to see it come at some point soon.
