The Flash season 5 episode 2 preview: Meet Chris Klein’s Cicada

Flash season 5 episode 2
Following tonight’s premiere on The CW, The Flash season 5 episode 2 will be introducing some spectacular stuff. At the heart of this is a villain by the name of Cicada, someone who has been established as the Big Bad for the season. He’s evil, but a very different sort of evil than we’ve seen on the series in the past. He’s got a specific reason to be there, and with that, there’s a lot to be looking forward throughout the rest of the season … or at least if you can tolerate watching bad characters doing very-bad things. (For us, we’re always down for a great villain. We’re always down for that.)

Below, CarterMatt has The Flash season 5 episode 2 synopsis with some other news when it comes to what’s next:

CHRIS KLEIN JOINS “THE FLASH” – As Barry (Grant Gustin) helps his daughter, Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy), become a better speedster, he and Team Flash also track down a meta stealing high-tech weapons, only to cross paths with a new foe named Cicada (Chris Klein), who is hunting the very same meta with nefarious intent. Kim Miles directed the episode written by Eric Wallace & Judalina Neira (#502). Original airdate 10/16/2018

There is obviously a fun part of this episode that will stem from getting to see Barry actually work with his daughter in what is a very strange context. This is a guy who didn’t even know his daughter before she revealed herself to him at the end of last season. Basically, we’ve got a lot to look forward to in terms of comedy — in addition to some of the standard superhero craziness.
