Magnum PI, Manifest ratings level off in week 3; The Good Doctor rises

There is some good news that we can report about on today when it comes to some new shows — the numbers are finally starting to level off!

The numbers are officially in for Monday night’s lineup, and for Magnum PI, it can rejoice evening out at around a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic. We do wish that the numbers would be a bit higher at this point in the run, but we wouldn’t be altogether shocked if it ends up being the #1 show on CBS Monday night within the next month. While this is a lineup that clearly needs some more ratings love, maybe Magnum PI can build an audience and be the show to help bring about some of this change.

Meanwhile, Manifest in week 3 managed to hold fairly steady at around a 1.7 rating, which is great news for the NBC show since these sort of high-concept series have a tendency to often shed numbers from one week to the next. Hopefully, it’s going to stay in around this place for the remainder of the season. (We do want to see the series get some sort of early pickup or season 2 renewal; this is something that would be a nice commitment to the fans.)

As for some other ratings news at the moment, there were a couple of different shows that managed to bounce back from weaker outings — especially over on ABC. Dancing with the Stars last night recovered to a 1.2 rating in the demo; meanwhile, The Good Doctor improved its way to a 1.2. These numbers are not exactly going to set the world on fire, but they are solid and they set the stage for some hopefully-steady performances over the rest of the season.
