Shameless season 9 episode 6 preview: Frank searches for … Katey Sagal?

Want to know more in terms of what lies ahead on Shameless season 9 episode 6? Well, much of it for Frank picks up where tonight left off. Katey Sagal made an appearance tonight as a hospital patient who seemed to be in need of some serious psychiatric care. Yet, Frank seems to think that the two parties have some sort of romantic connection, which really does feel like it is very much the sort of thing that Frank would do. Of course, he is the sort of person who falls for what feels like an impossible situation.

Frank employs Liam to help him chase down a romantic connection. Lip spends the day wrangling an alcoholic actress who hired him to be her sober companion. Fiona struggles to keep up with the demands of her new investment as Ford pushes her to get serious about their relationship. Kev and V run into trouble at the twins’ preschool when show and tell goes awry.

One important story that is not mentioned in here is what could be happening next with Ian, who may still be facing jail time even after pleading not guilty by way of insanity. Because of his admittance to mental-health struggle, it is very well possible that we’re also going to be seeing him lose some of his Gay Jesus support group. He’s underwent some big changes for his life, and but at the same time, there are still some other big ones that are likely coming. He’s going to need the support of all of the Gallaghers to figure out what his next move.

As for some other characters, we’re a little more confident that Fiona is going to be okay despite her current struggles; meanwhile, Carl’s life remains every bit the mess that we initially thought that it would be.
