NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 2 is coming up on CBS this weekend, and leading up to it, it feels easy to have one big takeaway: Sam and Callen are in trouble.
At the time of this episode, it’s possible that many weeks will have passed following what happened in Mexico. After all, the two are okay enough to get back out into the field and do some of what they do best. Unfortunately for them, they’re going to be in for so much more than they initially bargained for with a new case.

At the heart of this episode is a top-grade military tactical suit, something that is almost impenetrable and makes people more or less impossible to stop. This episode is basically entitled “Superhuman” for a reason — someone steals this said tactical suit and with it, uses it to be able to rob a jewelry store in Beverly Hills. How do you stop a criminal who cannot exactly be taken down via usual means? This feels like almost the NCIS version of Robocop except with different moral alignment.
If you love episodes of this show that rely a little more heavily on action, this could be your cup of tea. For us, it’s exciting just because it offers a chance to see a very different sort of opponent from the usual sort of people Sam and Callen are up against. There’s a pretty good reason to be excited about what we’re going to see here, plus also getting some personal revelations on some of the characters in the wake of Mexico. For Hetty and Mosley in particular, we think that their jobs are going to be in a certain degree of jeopardy.
