Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 5 is going to be the Halloween episode this year, and on the surface, this one feels very fun. It marks an opportunity to dive into the holiday through the lens of Jerry, and also something that stems back to his childhood. There’s a lot of creepy charm to this episode on paper, and it really feels in the end almost like the series’ version of Stranger Things minus some of the supernatural stuff. (Ironically, we do think that Jerry would believe in some of the stuff that you often see on Stranger Things.)

Below, take a look at the season 9 episode 5 synopsis for some other information when it comes to the series:
“A’ohe mea ‘imi a ka maka” – On Halloween, Jerry and his friends search his childhood camp for evidence to a murder he witnessed as a boy, while McGarrett investigates a little girl who drew pictures depicting the scene of a recent murder before it was discovered, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Oct. 26 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Any chance to get a Jorge Garcia episode of Hawaii Five-0 is always going to be something that we celebrate, especially if it does also offer at the same time a chance to better understand what makes him the character that he is.
As for what McGarrett is doing in this episode, this also does seem right up a Halloween episode’s alley — it is creepy, but also in a rather sad, traumatic way given that this young girl probably was a witness to some rather grisly, unthinkable stuff.
