Station 19 season 2 premiere video: Does Travis Montgomery survive?
Here’s the good news: For at least the opening minutes of the premiere, the character is (somehow) going to still be alive. In the sneak peek below (via TV Guide), Vic seems to be there in order to ensure that Montgomery gets out of this particular spot in one piece. After this, maybe he heads over to the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital? Doesn’t that make sense? As someone who wants to see as many crossovers as possible within this world, we’re certainly all for more of that … and also for Montgomery finding his way out of this okay.
Of course, even if Travis makes it out of this alive, that does not exactly negate everyone else. There is still a reasonably good chance that some other people find themselves in danger. The cliffhanger was designed the way that it was for a reason: To leave you feverishly sweating all summer long and worried that the makeup of the firehouse will be different for much of the new year. One of the hardest decisions that any show can make is to kill off a central character, especially when there are so many close relationships behind the scenes among the different characters. With that being said, this is a point in which said decisions need to be made.
As someone who roots for the Station 19 collective, our hope is to see everyone find a way to survive. It’s just hard to set the bar too high with the present circumstances considered.
