Suits season 8 spoilers: What lies ahead now for Katrina Bennett?

What’s the story to come for Katrina Bennett going to look like on Suits season 8? This is certainly a question worth wondering based on how the first part of the season ended. We’re looking here at a character who has achieved a great deal of professional success, but at the same time also is suffering in the midst of some personal hardship. It can really be summed up in these sort of simple terms: She has feelings for Brian, which is complicated by A) working with him and B) having romantic feelings for him. He hasn’t quite reciprocated those feelings, but at the same time hasn’t publicly shut him down.

Is he really aware of some of the feelings that she has? That’s something that we could find out in the second half of this season, as executive producer Aaron Korsh notes in a new interview with TVLine:

“We’re working out how we want to reveal what he’s aware of and what he isn’t … But there comes a time when it’s clear that he knows what’s going on. It’s going to build to a head, and they’re going to have to figure out what to do about it.”

We’ve said this before, but we don’t really think that we need Brian to become a cheater — that would even take away some of what Katrina feels for him. We just think that this is indicative of something that may happen in a workplace like a law firm sometimes, where characters work together for lengthy periods of time and often develop complicated relationships because of it.

Is it possible that Brian leaves his wife rather than being unfaithful to her? We suppose, but we do think that this would be pretty painful in itself given that the two have a new baby.
