NCIS: Los Angeles season 10: Boss open to NCIS, NCIS: New Orleans crossover

NCIS: Los Angeles

As we inch closer to the NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 premiere on CBS, there are many obvious questions to ponder. Yet, to go along with that, there are also a number of other interesting things worth thinking about that don’t necessarily cross one’s mind right away. The status of a potential crossover involving this show and some of the others within the universe is one of them.

The reality is that we haven’t seen too many direct crossovers with NCIS: Los Angeles — they happen occasionally, but they aren’t always even with other NCIS shows. Take, for example, the one that we saw with Hawaii Five-0. The last major one with this show and another NCIS show was when Michael Weatherly stopped by, and he’s now on a completely different show in Bull.

So is it possible that there could be something more in this department over the course of the next year? For the time being, it’s certainly not something that the show’s producers are ruling out. Speaking in a new interview with Parade, here’s what show boss R. Scott Gemmill had to say on the subject:

I brought that up last year, and we talked about it and it never came to fruition because it is logistically really tricky in terms of trying to line up all the ducks in a row. But it’s season ten for us, if we are going to do it, we should do it now while we still have everybody around. So, it will be something that we’ll certainly consider. Even when we did a crossover with Hawaii 5-0, that was logistically really challenging to get everybody on the same page and on the same stage. It is certainly worth trying because I think it would be great for the fans.

We do think that this is probably going to happen eventually, but could it this year? We actually think that there’s a chance, given that this is one of the few years where it doesn’t seem that there’s too many other priorities that the shows have to deal with elsewhere, such as adjusting to losing a cast member.
