Lucifer season 4 episode 5 title contains many curious possibilities
In a post on Twitter, the series’ writers room has confirmed that “Expire Erect” is the official name for the episode that is likely coming up around now in production. That is, suffice it to say, one that leaves open many different possibilities as to its meaning.

As for what we believe it could mean, the first prediction we have is that it’s someone who possibly died a little bit … excited? Think in terms of words that we cannot quite profess here, but this is a title chocked full of innuendo and was clearly intended to be that way. Mike Costa is the writer for this episode, and that has us fairly excited given that this is a guy who previously wrote “Til Death Do Us Part,” one of the funnier episodes of season 3 that featured Lucifer and Pierce pretending to be a couple in the suburbs. Meanwhile, the director for this episode is Viet Nguyen, who is helming Lucifer for the first time — he has worked on a number of other shows for Warner Bros. TV, including the likes of The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and iZombie. He knows his way around this studio and should do a very good job with this.
There are ten episodes in season 4, so whatever happens here (innuendo included) should be a rather nice jumping-off point for the remainder of the entire season. We’ve already heard that this is going to be a season paced a little bit faster than some we’ve seen in the past. It has to be to make up for the shorter order!
