Is Station 19 new tonight on ABC? Given that the Grey’s Anatomy premiere is airing on ABC tonight, it makes sense to want it.
Yet, we’re not going to be seeing Jaina Lee Ortiz and the rest of the cast on the air for one more week … largely due to the fact that its typical lead-in, Grey’s Anatomy, is giving you a two-hour premiere tonight. There are going to be some more opportunities in the future to see stories from this cast, so don’t think about its absence from the lineup tonight as a terrible thing.
What we do know moving into the second season is this: There are some pretty big cliffhangers that need to be resolved. Take, for example, trying to figure who died in the epic fire at the end of season 1. The lives of a number of different characters are in jeopardy!
The season 2 premiere is going to work its hardest to resolve this cliffhanger, but to go along with that, there are going to be some other crises that Andy and the rest of the team need to take on. For example, they are going to need to determine the condition of Pruitt and also see who is really going to be responsible for leading this team as we move a little bit more into the future. That was a big story through much of the first season, but we’d be shocked if it is something that the series really decides to keep going as we push forward into this new batch of episodes. This is a chance to really push forward and give some of these characters some new things to focus on … and we’re excited about what those could be, whether they are personal or professional revelations.
