NCIS season 16 episode 4 spoilers: Fornell interrupts Gibbs’ vacation

NCIS season 16 episode 4

NCIS season 16 episode 4 is, at least on the surface, going to provide you with something that you don’t see every day — Gibbs relaxing. At one point during this episode, Mark Harmon’s character is actually going to be trying to relax a little and get a break from the world.

Of course, given that this is NCIS, this is not the sort of show where the entire episode is going to be about Gibbs chilling out. Something is going to transpire, and that something seems to be initiated in some form by the arrival of one Tobias Fornell. He will enter the story with Captain Phillip Brooks in order to ask for some help — basically, there’s a case that awaits Gibbs here that is going to be very much different from what he’s used to. While we’re sure that some other characters will turn up over time, this seems on the surface like a Gibbs-heavy episode that focuses a lot on the relationship he and Fornell have.

Below, the NCIS season 16 episode 4 synopsis offers up a little more information as to what lies ahead:

“Third Wheel” – Gibbs’ quiet vacation at his remote cabin is interrupted by a surprise visit from Tobias Fornell (Joe Spano) and Navy Captain Phillip Brooks (Don Lake), as well as a call from NCIS asking for his help locating a robber hiding in the woods near him, on NCIS, Tuesday, Oct. 16 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

This episode could prove to be a highlight of the season for us, mostly in that we like cases that are off the beaten path (pun intended here) and give us a chance to see something different that we are not used to checking out.
