Power season 6 filming officially begins in New York; see new video
As the video below officially reveals, production on the latest batch of episodes is now underway in New York City; really, this is a teaser when itself for a behind-the-scenes special that is coming to the Starz up on Sunday hosted by Stephen A. Smith. (How does he even have the time to do this given all of the time he spends on sports shows? Consider that one of life’s greatest mysteries.)

Anyhow, in this video you can see Omari Hardwick, Joseph Sikora, Lela Loren, and others on the set excited for everyone to see where their stories go from here. Seeing Loren around is certainly the most intriguing part of this given that her character of Angela Valdez was shot at the end of season 5, but we’ve long felt like she will survive just because that’s the far more intriguing scenario — at least for us. Isn’t it all the more interesting knowing that the character is still out there, and could be out for revenge on Tommy after being shot?
Beyond everything with Tommy and Angela, to us the most intriguing part of the story now is seeing just what happens to Tariq, who seems to be fully immersed in this life after Ghost at one point tried to shield him from it. Kanan was more of a mentor to him than his own father, and in the wake of that character’s death, we imagine that Tariq’s journey is going to escalate in its own way. This is a guy who’s lost a lot, from his friend Shawn to his sister to now Kanan, who he grew close to. He’s got a lot of rage and moving forward, we could be seeing a lot of this manifested.
