Fear the Walking Dead season 4: Is there anything left for Jim?

Fear the Walking Dead

As we move forward towards the Fear the Walking Dead season 4 finale, we are left to ponder over many different things. This is especially the case for poor Jim.

At the end of tonight’s new episode, we saw this particular character meet a grisly fate after he committed suicide as a means to save most of the group. The good news is that he got to die a hero. The bad news? Well, he’s now a walker, and to go along with that, he’s also been uncovered by Martha. The “Filthy Woman” is still out there, and it certainly seems as though she is going to be using him in order to achieve some of her desired (and demented) goals.

Speaking in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Ian B. Goldberg had the following to say when it comes to Jim’s death / rebirth as a walker … but also promised that there could be something more for him coming:

Jim made a tremendous sacrifice and saved everyone. And even though Jim is dead, there’s still more of his redemption story to be told. Even though he may be a walker now, Jim may still be able to do some good in this world.

Does this level of good somehow involve bringing everyone beer? We can certainly say that’s a possibility, but it could be something a little more serious, as well. We think that Jim’s legacy is a difficult one to read with this show, mostly because this is a character who does have his fair share of comedic moments, even if there is a larger story that can be told here about redemption and a character doing everything that they can in order to find themselves and a new purpose in the world.

The finale for Fear the Walking Dead is going to be airing on AMC next week. To get some other news all about it, be sure to head over to the link here.
