Chicago Fire season 7 episode 3 spoilers: The Firehouse 51 power struggle

Chicago Fire season 7 episode 3 is going to continue forward a tradition that you see throughout the early part of the season. What is that? Think along the lines of a battle for power that ends up striking home at Firehouse 51. In one corner, you’ve got Chief Boden, a man we know rather well for his leadership and his determination. Meanwhile, in the other you’ve got Assistant Deputy Commissioner Gorsch. With this guy, we’re not even sure he likes being with the Fire Department. He just likes power, and finding just about every way that he can in order to showcase that power. With that in mind, we think he’s going to revel in whatever sort of misery he can bring to Boden.

10/10/2018 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Wednesday) : Chief Boden becomes increasingly skeptical of Assistant Deputy Commissioner Gorsch’s motives, while Severide gets wrapped up in a difficult situation following the rescue of a child from a car wreck. Trying to fit in with the rest of the firehouse, Foster is tasked with doling out some personal advice to Cruz.

We’re focusing mostly on the Boden storyline here just because it’s the one that is the easiest one to understand here on paper. When it comes to Severide, meanwhile, most of the questions that we have are fairly abstract ones. For example, could helping this kid help him think about his own chances of being a father someday? If he ever does become a parent, especially before Casey does, it could be a potentially awkward situation for him. After all, Casey was the guy who had his life fairly put together a couple of years ago. Now, Dawson is not around and Kelly’s got a pretty committed relationship. It’s a different position for the two of them.
