MacGyver season 3 premiere promo: The Jack Dalton rescue mission

MacGyver season 3 premiere

Are you ready for MacGyver season 3 to arrive on CBS? We hope so, and we especially think that the new promo will help with that!

The video below gives you some of the first substantial footage for Friday’s episode, one that is going to start with Mac in a strange place. As we discuss in our own video below (be sure to subscribe for more updates), you’re going to see the title character living halfway across the world, desperate to start a new life for himself after his father Oversight had secretly been manipulating him for many years. He was the one actually running the Phoenix Foundation and with that, he orchestrated much of Mac’s work without him knowing it.

As much as Mac may want to follow his own path now, the premiere is going to give him a reason to, at least temporarily, come back. Jack is going to be in danger and because of that, this episode will revolve around seeing if there is a way in which Jack can be protected and the world can be a little bit safer. After that, Mac can make whatever decision he wants again with his life. Tate Donovan will be returning as Oversight, and there are a few other familiar faces that we’ve seen on the series over the past couple of years.

If you’ve loved the past two seasons of MacGyver, there is a reasonably good chance you’re going to love season 3 just as much. This is a chance for some fun, fast-paced TV, and in the world we live in, this is a chance to enjoy a little bit of much-needed Friday escapism.

Rest assured, we’re going to have even more news leading up to the premiere. Stay tuned…
