The Resident season 2 episode 1 video: Conrad, Nic’s calm before the storm

The Resident season 2

The Resident season 2 episode 1 is finally going to arrive on Fox come Monday night, and there will be many highs and lows throughout the hour. This is what happens when Chastain finds itself in dire straits because of a massive storm that causes all sorts of problems both in terms of patients and in terms of hospital resources.

Of course, there has to be a calm amidst said storm … right? In the sneak peek below (first posted by Entertainment Weekly) you can see a small bit of that as Conrad and Nic find the time to run away from the chaos, at least for long enough to have some alone time. This sneak preview is a reminder that these characters are still very much together after the events of season 1, but there are still some issues that they are dealing with. One of the biggest ones is trying to find a way in order to spend some real time together in the midst of all the chaos that they are forced to deal with at the hospital. For at least a few moments, it seems as though they are doing okay.

With this being said, it feels like the scene in the sneak peek is really the calm before the storm and things are about to get infinitely crazier and more dramatic from here. The beepers start to go off heavily for Conrad at the end of the sneak peek, and we’ve learned that a power blackout could cause even more problems for these doctors. This is going to be a real test for all of them, and also for Conrad’s father Marshall given that this is not the sort of environment he’s used to. Yet, he is now one of the people in charge and that will more than likely leave an impact of its own.
