The Resident season 2 episode 3 is entitled “Three Words,” and with a show like this, it’s fair to say that there are many different interpretations to this. It could be a reference to characters like Conrad and Nic saying “I love you”; however, there is a much more ominous possibility here: “Time of death.” Both are familiar to a show like this, so we’re not willing to lean one way or another here.
Yet, signs do point towards this particular episode giving you more insight into Conrad and Nic’s past, especially as this episode celebrates a key milestone within Conrad’s time at Chastain. For more, be sure to check out the attached synopsis:
Nic and Conrad contemplate their past when they team up to diagnose a happy husband and wife who are both admitted to the hospital with mysterious symptoms. Bell and Marshall butt heads on a work trip when their cut-throat business tactics don’t align. Meanwhile, AJ turns down a request from Bell despite Mina’s forewarning, Devon continues to gravitate to medical device rep Julian (guest star Jenna Dewan) and the staff gears up for Conrad’s three-year anniversary at Chastain in the all-new “Three Words” episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, Oct. 8 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

This episode will expose you further to some of the bigger conflicts of the season. For Dr. Bell, he has to realize that he is now working for a man (Marshall) who is not always inclined to see things the same way that he does. He’s not used to having this particular sort of oversight. Meanwhile, Devon has to figure out what Julian really wants, and if she is just out to take advantage of him for the sake of her own self-interest. There’s something more to all of these stories and we are excited to see how it all unfolds.
