Criminal Minds season 14 (possibly) heading back to school
Thanks to a number of social-media indicators, we’ve learned today that the CBS series has filmed some scenes this week at Cal State Northridge in the San Fernando Valley, which means that there could be some sort of story that is set around a college. That’s the easy assumption to make. However, we know that colleges and many other locations do sometimes serve as worthy doubles to other locales; with that in mind, it’s understandable to not jump to any sort of big conclusions at the moment.
Criminal Minds season 14 is at least gearing up to be one of the most exciting seasons to date for a lot of different reasons. For starters, you’ve got a huge cliffhanger that needs to be resolved when it comes to Reid and Garcia. Beyond just that, there are a number of personal stories coming, a lot of episodes being directed by cast members, and also potentially some surprises. We’re starting off with the milestone 300th episode, that is one that will feature a number of different echoes from the past.
The one thing that does put somewhat of a pall over the season at the moment is simply not knowing whether or not this is going to end up being the final one for the series on CBS. We hope that there is more, but given the recent last-minute renewals, we certainly do worry about it. (Also, this is a shorter season than we have seen in some recent years with this show.)
The 300th episode airs a week from Wednesday — it’s missing out on premiere week because of the Survivor premiere and the Big Brother finale.
