Snowfall season 2 finale: Is Franklin back out of jail?

Tonight, the Snowfall season 2 finale kicked off with Franklin in a difficult position. After all, he was in prison for the murder of Kevin, and it didn’t look like he was going to be able to get out anytime soon.

Yet, how an hour can change things! Because of Reid Thompson, Franklin was able to find a way back out to the other side, and with that, he had to prepare himself for whatever would be coming up. That could be an operation that is so much different than just your typical drug trade. Reid is involved with some deeper, more dangerous stuff, and his presence in Franklin’s life could be a sign of him taking another leap forward and getting more immersed into a larger business operation.

Basically, the events of the finale signal to us that season 3 could be a game-changer, one that brings Franklin to a different place given Reid’s ties to the government but also his understanding of Franklin’s use. This is all a natural evolution of this character, who has figured out a way to continue moving forward through everything this season.

But, is he ready to become a more hardened version of himself? Is what happened with Kev going to stick with him? It’s possible, but given the relationship that they had, everything else could be easier moving forward from here. In a lot of ways, the worst of what he could go through is over.

As a whole, though, we like how Snowfall did his part in the finale tying together a number of loose ends from season 2, while also setting the stage quite nicely for what a potential season 3 could look like. There are still so many things the writers could explore!
