The Big Bang Theory season 12 episode 3: Will Penny, Leonard start a family?

The Big Bang Theory season 11

The Big Bang Theory season 12 episode 3 seems to be fully exploring a question many people have wondered for a while: Could Leonard and Penny have kids soon?

We know that, at least for a while, there may have been some hesitancy to tell this story, and understandably so given that Howard and Bernadette have been expanding their family for a while now. If you start to do too many pregnancy storylines, the series starts to become about just one thing. However, now that Howard and Bernadette are stable parents of two kids, it could be the time to start to explore this a little bit more. This episode, airing on October 4, seems to be the right opportunity to that very thing.

Below, The Big Bang Theory season 12 episode 3 synopsis offers up a little bit more information when it comes to what you can expect moving forward:

“The Procreation Calculation” – The Wolowitzes’ life gets complicated when Stuart starts bringing his new girlfriend home. Also, Penny and Leonard talk about starting a family while Koothrappali explores an arranged marriage, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Oct. 4 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Keith Carradine returns as Penny’s father, Wyatt.

There’s a lot of fun in this episode on paper, mostly via the opportunity to see what happens when Stuart actually has a significant love interest in his life. This is not exactly something we expected for him for a long time but we’re rather happy the writers are starting to finally explore something here. He’s always been further behind the other characters in his development but personally, it’d be great to see him move forward to some degree.

As for bringing back Carradine as Wyatt, isn’t the timing perfect?
