Suits season 8 will explore Donna’s personal life more in second half
With that in mind, what is the future going to hold moving forward? Let’s just say that the personal lives of some of the characters are not going to be forgotten — even though Katrina’s storyline largely was for the finale. She clearly has feelings for Brian, which is made all the more complicated by the fact that he is actually married. He hasn’t reciprocated those feelings, but the two have spent an extremely large amount of time together and that has, inevitably, created some questions in Katrina’s mind. As for the extent of things with Brian, we can’t get inside of his brain.

Speaking via TVLine in a postmortem for the finale, show creator Aaron Korsh had the following to say when it comes to exploring Katrina and Brian, but then also giving Donna (thankfully!) some more time in the spotlight in terms of her personal life:
We will continue the Katrina/Brian dance that we’ve been doing. The big thing is, we will be delving a little more into Donna’s personal life in the back six [episodes].
Will this personal life contain Harvey Specter? Obviously, that’s something that we would love to see, but we hope if that happens, the writers spend some good time on it and actually showing their relationship. We do think that there’s a cognizance there are some feelings there, but there is no doubt things remain complicated, especially since Donna is the COO and Harvey is a name partner. Yet, there are certainly even more complicated situations that could happen than these two characters getting together.
Suits season 8 episode 11 is slated to happen at some point in the new year.
