MasterChef season 9 finale: Did Cesar Cano, Gerron Hunt, or Ashley Mincey win?
We do think that early on in MasterChef seasons, it’s fairly easy to predict what is going to happen. Yet, it tends to get a little bit more complicated as time goes on for a number of different reasons. You get to know the contestants better and because of that, the edits start to become a little more even. Also, we don’t think that the final winner is judged necessarily based on cumulative results: A lot of it is based on who actually does the best in that very moment at the end of the show. That’s often not an easy thing to figure out as a viewer when we’re not tasting the food. We just have to rely on visuals, and then some of the feedback that the judges give over the course of the night.
So, who ended up actually taking home the prize? We now know it to be… Gerron! He’s pulled out the win, and we do think that, in the end, we’ve got ourselves a very fun and absolutely worthy winner of this season. He’s brought a lot of skill to the table, but also a big personality and a whole lotta heart. He’s the sort of guy who will represent this brand well over the next year or so, and you have to hope that at the end of all of this, we’ll be hearing a lot more from him.
