Shameless season 9 episode 3 preview: Frank becomes campaign manager

Shameless season 9

Moving into Shameless season 9 episode 3, one thing feels abundantly clear: There are going to be some more Frank Gallagher shenanigans. This is what happens when he realizes that one of the best ways to make easy money is by becoming a campaign manager and ordering other people to give money and do a lot of crazy stuff on his behalf. Frank has long been the master of the get-rich-quick scheme and this seems to be his latest example of it.

In the end, his objective is really clear: Focus on exploiting paranoid white people who think that the neighborhood is becoming too diverse. We saw the beginnings of this tonight, but moving forward into next week, it’s only going to become a larger part of the story. The Shameless season 9 episode 3 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below offers you up a few more clues:

Frank faces obstacles in his new role as a campaign manager. Fiona prepares to close her real estate deal. Carl enlists V to help him get a West Point recommendation from a congressman. Xan’s medical emergency puts Lip in a compromising position. Debbie gets closer with her partner in crime. Ian embarks on a spiritual journey.

As for what we expect from some of these other stories, we do think that Debbie’s new “partner in crime” could prove to be interesting — mostly because she seems to be interested in her in a way that is different in what she interprets.

As a whole, though, it definitely feels like there is a lot of fun, fascinating story for the writers to explore.Take, for example, whatever is going to happen now with Ian since the Gay Jesus storyline first started.
