Is Power new tonight on Starz? The road ahead for Omari Hardwick series

Is Power new tonight on Starz? After everything that we went through on the series last year, it makes some sense to demand more. There are so many things that we do want more information, whether it be the status of Ghost and Angela, whether or not Ghost and Tommy can ever patch things together again, or if Angela is even going to survive. We’ve got many different loose ends thanks to the cliffhanger, but unfortunately, we’re going to be waiting for a while to see some of these loose ends tied up.

There is no new episode of Power tonight, and nor will there be one from now until the summer next year. That is when the series is going to come back onto Starz with its sixth season. Is that the final season? Nobody is saying for certain just yet.

At the moment, though, one thing is clear: Power is not long for this world. It’s not so much an issue of Starz wanting this show to go away, but this has always been a series with a defined journey and an ending. The producers don’t want to drag this on simply for the sake of doing so. That is why moving forward, we’re going to have a chance to see a number of interesting stories progress towards what is a likely end.

For example, we’re going to have an opportunity coming up in order to see the rise of Tariq as a power-player within this world. We know that he’s very much eager to move forward and follow a trajectory set up by Kanan. It may not have been something that Jamie really wanted, but at the moment, Omari Hardwick’s character may not have all that much say in it. The kid may be too far gone.

Another question worth wondering now comes via Dre and whether or not we can potentially see this guy survive after everything that he’s done over the years. He’s made a lot of mistakes, but at the same time, he’s still alive — that’s not something we really expected going into this past finale given that there was such an obvious price on his head.
