The Last Ship season 5 episode 2 video: The struggle of ‘The Fog of War’

Last Ship season 4 episode 4

Want to know what lies ahead on The Last Ship season 5 episode 2? Let’s just say to be prepared for an elaborate game of strategy, one in which characters are going to do whatever they can in order to ensure their survival.

For Slattery, this seems to mean doing whatever he can in order to dupe some of his own enemies. We saw in the premiere episode that the U.S. Navy and Panama were both victims of a widespread attack, one meant to incite war and spread misinformation as to who really started the conflict. Moving forward from here, the next order of business seems to be trying to fight back using limited resources. That is what Slattery is trying to focus on. He knows that he doesn’t have an abundance of skills at his arsenal anymore any with that in mind, he is mostly interested in doing just about everything that he can in order to trick enemies using what is effectively a decoy submarine. He wants to use this to make the submarine look much larger than it is, and then also some other decoys in order to make it seem as though there is more or less a whole fleet out there. Basically, he has created a fantastic line of defense where there isn’t one.

Is that going to be enough to really send the enemies packing? That’s something that you have to wonder entering the episode and it’s a big part of what could make this episode fun as a whole. If you love tactical chess games and underdog stories, it appears as though The Last Ship season 5 episode 2 is going to deliver and then some. Hopefully, it will raise the stakes while also giving us some more insight as to what the world of the show is shaping out to be.
