Elementary season 6 finale video: Joan finds herself questioned

Elementary

The Elementary season 6 finale is airing on CBS Monday night, and at the center of this one is an investigation — and an intense one. Joan Watson finds herself accused of murdering Michael, and the sneak peek below finds her being interrogated.

This entire experience must be a rather-surreal one for Watson when you think about what she is being asked to endure here. We don’t believe her to be a murderer, but also understand why the police have her sitting on the opposite side of the interrogation room for a change. It’s clear that she has a precise motive for wanting to kill Michael, especially after he put her own life in jeopardy. She also doesn’t have the firmest alibi known to mankind — her family isn’t going to be able to help her, especially her mother given that she suffers from dementia and her testimony likely would not be admissible.

One of the most interesting things entering this finale is mostly that we got to this point in the first place. When we first realized that Michael was going to be the Big Bad, the last thing we imagined was that this character would die before the finale — or that Joan would be the suspect in what happened. We’re in an interesting spot now as we approach the final episode, given that there is no real adversary other than the police, who are mostly trying to do their job. It is possible that there is some other killer out there trying to frame Joan; or, it’s just as possible that we end up seeing Michael set up all of this himself. What better way to haunt Sherlock forever than to take his own partner away from him? We’re not exactly ruling him out.
