Greenleaf season 3 episode 5 preview: The story of ‘Closing Doors’
Let’s kick things off here, as we often do, by sharing the official Greenleaf season 3 episode 5 synopsis courtesy of OWN — it does a good job of setting the stage:
The Bishop and Lady Mae make alternate plans after Clara denies them the check for the IRS bill; Grace tends to Sophia when a medical emergency sends her daughter to the hospital.
Basically, what you’ve got here are a combination of significant business struggles but then also, to go along with it, issues of faith and issues involving medicine. As is often the case with Greenleaf, we expect these stories to interact with each other in some shape or form.
What’s with the latest ratings?
Given the drama that exists within this series — and the fact that there are so few other shows that focus themselves on the church community quite like this — we’d love to say that the ratings were staying steady.
However, that is turning out to not entirely be the case. The numbers are in for this past episode and with that, we’ve seen the lowest figures of the season with a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic to go along with 1.12 million viewers. This also happens to be the lowest rating that we have seen for the entire series to date. The decline has us slightly concerned over the future, but at the same time, we do have a certain measure of faith (pun intended) that the loyal audience for the show will help to find a way in which to ensure the show stays safe in the future.
