Ink Master season 11 episode 3 sneak peek: The domino rally
We’ll be honest here when we say that this may very well be one of the hardest Flash Challenges we’ve ever seen on the 11 seasons that we have been covering this show. Can you imagine trying to basically create a huge image out of dominoes that you also have to get standing up at the same time? This feels almost impossible to pull off, and it really is. The dominoes need to create a consistent image both when they are standing and when they are on the ground — just in case you wanted another layer to an already impossible challenge.
When it comes to Cleen Rock One’s team, they were already flying pretty high going into this flash challenge. Think about things this way — not only did Cleen’s team win the last Flash Challenge, but they were able to send home a member of Christian Buckingham’s team. Tony Medellin also got Tattoo of the Day, so basically Team Christian was 0-3 in that episode. Coming up, we have a chance to see if Team Christian can get a little bit of redemption and turn the ship around. We certainly want that for him, but there’s never any guarantee that’s going to happen with this show.
Of course, the Flash Challenges only matter so much. Christian’s team winning this would be great for their morale, but at the same time it all comes down to the job they do with their canvases. If they have a bad idea or can’t execute on something, they’re going to be sent packing and no amount of skull picks will change that. We always go back to Joshua Hibbard who everyone may not he liked (except us we loved him), but he was handed bad skull pick after bad skull pick and he would mange to talk them into better tattoos, better placement, pretty much better everything. Bedside manner can change everything in this game.
