Dancing with the Stars 27 rumors: Alexis Ren, DeMarcus Ware, and more

The latest Dancing with the Stars 27 rumors are out there, and they suggest that a wide range of people are appearing. Some of these people you may have heard about, but — as is often the case with this show — there are a few others you may not. Even as someone who works in entertainment for a living, there are typically at least one or two people per season we have never heard from.

So who are the latest rumored names? Per ET Online, there are as follows…

Mary Lou Retton – Famous Olympic gymnast.

Bobby Bones – Radio host, who has a name similar to a pirate.

Alexis Ren – Model and also Instagram star. She has more than 12 million followers!

John Schneider – Former star of The Dukes of Hazzard.

DeMarcus Ware – Former NFL star, and one of the best defense players of his era. He’s well-known for being a Dallas Cowboy, and Emmitt Smith sets a great precedent for Cowboys on this show.

Danielle Umstead – Paralympian and alpine skier. She’s a great athlete and also a wonderful story, and we know that Dancing with the Stars likes to have people on the show who can wear both hats.

Remember that not all of the rumored names every season end up being true, but this would be an interesting group — especially since we know already that a former The Facts of Life star is supposedly on board. (Read more over here.) We do think that this cast skews older, but so does the Dancing with the Stars core audience. They may still need to get one or two more people who are super-current in order to cater to the key 18-49 demographic.

The full cast for the new Dancing with the Stars season is going to be announced on Wednesday; we’ll have more news as it comes out in the weeks ahead.
