Take Two episode 12 ratings: What do they mean for series’ future?
The Take Two episode 12 ratings are in, but we’re not sure that they are going to do much for anyone who is interested in getting clarity on the series’ future.
Basically, Thursday night’s new episode — which featured a pretty awesome moment at the end, ended up generating a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. That is right about even with the second episode that aired on ABC the week before. The same goes for the 2.4 million viewers. While there could be some small adjustments that still come in for these, there was no NFL preemption last night so it shouldn’t be as major as we saw in the past.
Granted, the series was still up against some major competition when it comes to the first game of the NFL season, and in general football has made a major impact on this show’s live viewing over the past month. If we were just gauging this on the live ratings alone, we’d be very much worried about the future of Take Two on the air.
Yet, there is still a small reason to have some hope in the form of the DVR numbers, which have been very good to date. Hopefully, ABC will consider these alongside the fact that the show is airing in the summer on a tough night with very little in terms of a quality lead-in. We’re still bitter that the show didn’t get the Bachelorette / Bachelor in Paradise lead-in and we probably will be for some time. That’s just the sort of thing that is hard for us to avoid.
ABC may take their time figuring out a Take Two renewal / cancellation, so don’t be shocked if there’s still no word a few weeks after the finale.
