Lethal Weapon season 3 episode 1 spoilers: First look at ‘In the Same Boat’

Lethal Weapon season 3

Lethal Weapon season 3 episode 1 is airing on Fox come Tuesday, September 25, and with a title of “In the Same Boat,” we come with many questions. For example, how will the story of Wesley Cole be brought into the mix, and to go along with that, how are the other characters going to get some time in the spotlight? One of the tough things about the situation over the past few months is that it’s been almost easy to forget that there are some other characters on the show beyond the central partnership. There is going to be some time spent assessing them over the course of the first few episodes and figuring out more as to where they are.

Below, the Lethal Weapon season 3 episode 1 synopsis offers up some more news as to what’s coming:

Former international CIA operative Wesley Cole (Seann William Scott) returns home and assumes duty as a police officer with the LAPD. Cole will find himself navigating a new partnership with Murtaugh, as he adjusts to life in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Avery continues his campaign for city council in the all-new “In The Same Boat” Season Three premiere episode of LETHAL WEAPON airing Tuesday, Sept. 25 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (LET-301) (TV-14 D, L, V)

One thing that is somewhat interesting here is that Jordana Brewster is still listed in the main cast, even though Clayne Crawford made it clear in a recent interview that she is leaving. (More than likely she’ll appear in the early going before taking a bow.) Meanwhile, Michelle Hurd is also going to be a part of the guest cast for this episode; originally, she had signed on for a Cagney & Lacey series over at CBS for the 2018-19 season, but it was not picked up to series.
